My Stair Step Plan for 2024

I'm kicking off the new year by revisiting Rob Walling's "stair-step approach" (video) to bootstrapping solopreneurship. My goal is to create more low-priced digital products, learn to sell my ideas, and (hopefully) gain some street cred in the IndieHacker community.

Or in the wise words of @ayushtweetshere, "Put more buy buttons on the internet".

I have a lot of this code already written, and use it in each of my projects. I just want to clean it up, so it's cleaner easier to use. I also want to document the creation process so others can learn from it.

Here's my plan:

• Productize the React/Tailwind component library that I use in all my projects
• Productize the Next.js boilerplate dashboard I use for all my projects (w/ above library)
• Create a couple of Tailwind landing page / dashboard templates for use in the above boilerplate
• Create a simple AI wrapper template (frontend + backend) that demonstrates using this code in production

From there, I'll reassess how things are going and decide what to do next. I think if I can clearly document the process, I may be able to sell it as a course as well. I've been wanting to do that for a while, but I've never had a clear idea of what I wanted to teach.
